Degree Programmes at the Faculty of Science and Technology
The Faculty of Science and Technology offers bachelor’s degrees in Software Engineering, Biology and Natural Science – focusing on either Earth or Ocean science. The programmes are of international standard and enable students to access graduate studies abroad and in the Faroes.

The Joint Nordic Master's Programme in Marine Ecosystems and Climate is a two-year degree (120 ECTS) offered jointly by the universities of Bergen, Iceland, Aarhus and the Faroe Islands. This is an international post-graduate degree for students, who have an undergraduate degree in biology or physical oceanography, and are interested in cross-disciplinary marine challenges.
This Joint Nordic Master's Programme in Marine Ecosystems and Climate is very well suited as a continuation after a BSc in Earth and Ocean Science or in Biology from the Faculty of Science and Technology. For further information:

Natural Science
An upper secondary diploma with specific results in mathematics, physics and chemistry is required. The averages listed below are calculated based on both exam results and annual marks for oral and written performance.
Mathematics A-level, with a minimum average of 6 on the marking scale to 13.
Physics B-level, with a minimum average of 6 on the marking scale to 13.
Chemistry - see below:
a) If no course in chemistry will be selected by the student: C-level with a minimum average of 6 on the marking scale to 13.
b) If courses in chemistry will be selected by the student:
- B-level Chemistry, with a minimum average of 6 on the marking scale to 13- or
- C-level Chemistry and A-level Biology, with minimum averages of 8 for C-level Chemistry and 6 for A-level Biology on the marking scale to 13.
The faculty may decide to apply equivalent criteria based on case-by-case assessments.
Software Engineering
An upper secondary diploma with B-level Mathematics with a minimum average of 6 on the Marking Scale of 00 to 13 is required. The average is calculated based on both exam results and annual marks for oral and written performance.
The faculty may decide to apply equivalent criteria based on case-by-case assessments.

Biology
An upper secondary diploma with the following subjects and minimum averages is required:
Physics B-level, with a minimum average of 6 on the Marking Scale of 00 to 13 is required.
Mathematics B-level, with a minimum average of 6 on the Marking Scale of 00 to 13 is required.
Chemistry B-level, with a minimum average of 6 on the Marking Scale of 00 to 13 is required.
The faculty may decide to apply other equivalent requirements based on case-by-case assessments.
