New paper in TAMS
Together with Mike Boyle from the University of Maryland and Søren Eilers from the University of Copenhagen, Toke Meier Carlsen, who is professor of mathematics at the University of the Faroe Islands, have published the paper "Flow Equivalence of G-SFTs" in Transactions of the American Mathematical Society.
This is the third paper the authors have published together. The first "Flow equivalence and isotopy for subshifts" was published in Dynamical Systems in 2017, and the second "Flow equivalence of sofic shifts" was published in Israel Journal of Mathematics in 2018.
The three papers are all about symbolic dynamics which is an area of mathematics with applications in data storage and transmission, the motion of the planets, linear algebra, and many other areas of mathematics.
More information about the paper can be found here.
