Rigsrådet (The Council of the Realm)

"We need to create a shared space where there's room and curiosity for free conversation about the relationship between Denmark, the Faroe Islands, and Kalaallit Nunaat – and to listen to each other. All too often, the debate about the Realm Community is characterized by awkward silence or stereotypical prejudices. With the podcast 'The Council of the Realm,' we now get a platform where nuances can unfold, and where we will continuously examine what we actually agree and disagree about in the three countries"

Rigsrådet is recorded simultaneously in Nuuk, Tórshavn, and Copenhagen, creating a new platform for conversation about what's happening in the three nations and across the Realm Community. The podcast covers everything from major political and cultural currents to everyday life.

Together the three hosts - Lars Trier Mogensen, Arnakkuluk Kleist and Heini í Skorini - discuss current events and debates that are often interpreted very differently in the three countries. With a combination of analyses, personal perspectives, and listener questions, "The Council of the Realm" becomes a conversation that both informs and challenges.
