Deadline: Academic Writing in English for Researchers´

From November 6th to 8th, 2024, there will be a Ph.D. course in academic writing in English for researchers.

Participants must have completed a master's degree. The course is for researchers who are engaged in research-based writing, regardless of whether their research field is the humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences.

Before the course, participants must submit a sample of their own text, which will be included as course material.

The purpose of the course is to improve participants' skills in effectively writing academic and research-based manuscripts that meet the quality standards of academic publishers, particularly in terms of linguistic style and content.

The course covers the following topics:

• Structure and style in each part of academic articles
• Feedback on writing and revision of manuscripts
• Grammar and vocabulary guidelines
• Rhetorical tools that support argumentation
• Methods and approaches for organizing written work

The course includes lectures, group work, writing exercises, feedback exercises, and self-study. The focus will be on revising participants' own texts.
