The University of the Faroe Islands is pleased to announce that the 16th Polar law Symposium will be held in Tórshavn, the capital of the Faroe Islands, between the 26th and 28th of October 2023, organized by the Kári á Rógvi Institute for Law and Legal Research.

This will be a live, rather than a virtual, event.
There is no overall theme for this Symposium. However, the organizers particularly hope for, and encourage, proposals for contributions focusing upon “small-polity” issues.
Language: The language of the Symposium will be English.
Venue: the main Symposium venue will be Sjóvinnuhúsið, located at Vestara bryggja 15, 100 Tórshavn. Sjóvinnuhúsið is a building owned by the municipality of Tórshavn that houses many important offices and classroom facilities of the University of the Faroe Islands.
